Australia's Mitchell Marsh has refused to call himself a genuine all-rounder and insisted that he could not justify the role until he improves his batting skills.
While Marsh averages 39.54 with the bat in ODIs, his figures slip down to 23 in the longer version of the game.
Marsh admitted he has not been able to score much runs in the Test cricket and, therefore, hopes to improve himself in next 12 month and cement his place in the national squad, news.com reported.
The 24-year-old's comments came ahead of the Caribbean Tri-series, which will also feature South Africa.
Marsh, who ruled out of the recently-concluded IPL after just three games due to a side strain, is confident that he would face no injury concerns heading into the upcoming series.
Australia will play their first match, which will be day-night Test, against the hosts at Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 7.
