In an endeavour to woo electorates of poll bound West Bengal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday took a jibe at West Bengal Government and Opposition and said that both the parties in past three decades have ruined the state.

PM Modi while addressing an election rally at Kharagpur, West Bengal said, "The Communist Party ruined the state in 34 years and whatever was left was wrecked by the Trinamool Congress in the last five years."

Further dubbing the two prominent parties in Bengal as hypocrites, PM Modi added that the Congress and the Communists are wrestling for power in Kerala but have joined hands in West Bengal.

"Congress and Communists have challenged the wisdom of Bengal and Bengal cannot forgive people who challenge wisdom of Bengal," he said.

PM Modi also highlighted downfall of the industrial sector in the state and said that there was a time when Bengal was called capital of industries but the Left broke its back and the TMC Government buried it.

Further boasting the corruption free image of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the Centre, Modi asserted that no case of dishonesty has been registered against the saffron party in the past two years. At the same time he aimed potshots at TMC and said if MUDRA scheme would have been initiated earlier, Saradha scam would have not happened.

PM Modi also underlined three point agenda of his party for the state "Development, development at a fast pace and development from all sides."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi kick-started his campaign in poll-bound West Bengal today. State Bharatiya Janata Party chief Dilip Ghosh is contesting from Kharagpur Sadar seat for the state assembly.
