Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Tuesday challenged Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to explain why he was not brave enough to contest the general elections from one seat, and looking to contest from two seats.

"First of all, is Narendra Modi afraid of finding out that Varanasi is becoming an unsafe seat, just because, there are indications of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal contesting from there. This shows that Modi has no trust in democracy, and he doesn't have enough will to stand up to the contest, no matter whosoever contests against him. It clearly shows that Modi only has his sights on becoming prime minister," Sisodia said.

On Saturday, the BJP finalised constituencies for senior party leaders, including its prime ministerial candidate (Narendra Modi). The party has fielded Modi from Varanasi, which was earlier represented by senior leader Murli Manohar Joshi.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Kejriwal had said in a rally in Bengaluru that, he was ready to take on Modi in the elections from Varanasi if the people wanted him to do so.
