Shiv Sena spokesman Rahul Narvekar has joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and will contest the Lok Sabha polls on the party's ticket from the Maval constituency.
Narvekar joined NCP yesterday in the presence of senior leader and Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.
Addressing media, Navrekar said he was upset with internal sabotage and politics within the party.
"In my case, internal sabotage and politics was the reason to quit the party. I have raised issues but no measures were taken to solve the problem. Only two options were there for me either leave politics or join an organisation which gives value to youth power," said Narvekar.
