A cabbie named Zola Tongo has claimed that Annie Dewani's husband Shrien Dewani did not tell them that the victim would be his own wife in spite of spending two days allegedly plotting the murder.
Tongo said yesterday that he learnt about the victim's identity only after the murder.
The claim was heard at Diwani's trial in Cape Town where he denied all charges, reported the Daily Mirror.
Dewani has been accused of orchestrating the murder of his wife during their honeymoon in Cape Town by hiring three South Africans. Qwabe is one of the three men.
The three South Africans involved in the murder have been tried and convicted and are serving jail sentences between 18 years and life.
