Wimbledon champion Andy Murray was reportedly involved in a security scare when police arrested four men suspected of brandishing a gun him before they realised that the men were autograph hunters with a tennis racquet.
The men, however, were later bailed until late January pending further inquiries
According to The Independent, the incident occurred in north London on Wednesday night when the Scot was in a car with his agent, during which one of the autograph seekers got out of another car and knocked on the window of Murray's vehicle in an attempt to get him to sign a racquet.
Although Murray drove away, a member of the public thought one of the men was carrying a gun and contacted police, following which the men's car was stopped and they were arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm and taken into custody.
The report added that Murray is currently recovering from a back surgery.
