Murray's hometown of Dunblane erupts in joy following Wimbledon victory

Dunblane celebrated local hero Andy Murray's epic win at Wimbledon with wearing face -masks and draping good luck banners from the rooftops.

According to The Scotsman, the town erupted with joy yesterday as its local boy made good and became the first British man to lift the Wimbledon trophy in 77 years.

The report said that many spectators had crammed into the Dunblane Centre to watch the match on a big screen and as the fans joined in a chorus of Flower of Scotland.

A fan inside the centre said it was brilliant and he was very proud of the champion.
