Andy Murray believes he is playing the best clay court tennis of his lifetime ahead of the French Open title.

The tennis ace who has been two-time semifinalist at the French Open said it was probably the best he had played on clay, the BBC has reported.

He added that he had never felt so comfortable on the clay surface, insisting that beating good players and winning tournament just before the French Open would certainly help.

The world number three won his maiden clay court title in Munich earlier this month and followed that up with the victory over the nine-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal in Madrid Open final.

Murray is the third seed at the Roland Garros and will face the qualifier Facundo Arguello of Argentina in round one.

Murray believes that the current number one Novak Djokovic would be favourite at the French Open starting from May 24 in Paris.
