Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to form a new coalition government just before the deadline of the formation of an administration.

According to BBC, the agreement was framed seven weeks after his Likud party won the election.

Netayahu needed 61 seats through the backing from the right-wing Bayit Yehudi party.

Netanyahu became the PM in 1996 and it is now his fourth term in office.

Netayahu said in a news conference that it is not a surprise that the negotiations were lengthy.
