NetApp India on Wednesday elevated Krithiwas Neelakantan as Director NGDC (Next Generation Data Centre) Business.

In his new role, Krithiwas would be responsible for establishing the NetApp expertise in building the Next Generation Datacentres in India. With NetApp's leadership in Flash storage, coupled with the NetApp Data Fabric solutions, the company offers next generation data centre expertise that empower customers to seamlessly liberate, integrate and unleash the full potential of data environments-whether they be on-premises, public or hybrid cloud.

"Krithiwas believes in a strategic approach and applies his broad knowledge of the market with smart sales and organizational skills and has in his last role, helped build strong relations with our channel partners and customers. As NetApp embarks upon the next phase of growth as the data authority in the hybrid cloud era, his exceptional industry knowledge and domain skills will be a great advantage in expanding to new spaces," said Anil Valluri, President, NetApp India and SAARC.

An alumnus of NIT, Calicut, Krithiwas has been with NetApp for over five years. In his previous role as Director Channel and Alliances for India and SAARC operations, he was instrumental in spearheading channel development and enablement programs, cementing channel relationships and driving sales through the NetApp partner ecosystem.

He is an industry veteran with over 22 years of experience across diverse verticals - education, healthcare, volume sales, business development and channels. Prior to NetApp, he has been a part of Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Wipro.

"My focus will be to build NetApp as the data management authority with clear expertise in providing next generation datacentres. As India goes through a digital transformation, companies require a cloud infrastructure that is simple, agile, and performs predictably even in the face of rapidly changing application requirements. This in turn needs Next Generation Data Centers to optimize and simplify data management. NetApp's strategic vision coupled with the solution portfolio will give organizations the full value of their data for competitive advantage," he said.
