Hamid Mir, the Pakistani journalist who was shot last month reportedly appeared at a judicial commission set up to investigate his shooting.

Hamid Mir and his family have accused Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of orchestrating the attack in which he was shot six times, The BBC reports.

The three-member panel has been conducting hearings behind closed doors in the city of Karachi this week.

Pakistan's Geo TV reported that Mir came to court in a wheelchair and left after giving a statement.

The report added that Mir was told by the judge that he should not be in court considering his condition.

While the ISI vehemently denies Mir's claims, the defence ministry has accused the media channel to have brought the agency into disrepute, following which the country's media regulator is considering the ministry's request to ban Geo TV.

Mir was hit six times in the abdomen and legs after his car was fired on by men on motorbikes as he was leaving Karachi airport.
