Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said that since today is the first Monday of Sawan, some good news is expected regarding the ongoing Parliament logjam.

"Congress Party should understand this that the Congress Party is not only stalling the parliamentary proceedings, but also creating hindrance in the progress of nation, which is a shameful thing," Naqvi told the media here.

"We have been trying to discuss this for a long time, so as to solve the Parliament logjam problem. We are trying to have a discussion on this. Today is the first Monday of 'Sawan' and some good news is expected," he added.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is meeting his senior Cabinet Ministers today to look for ways to end the ongoing logjam in the Monsoon Session of Parliament with an adamant opposition led by the Congress firm on the resignation of tainted leaders linked to the Lalit Modi controversy and the

Vyapam scam in Madhya Pradesh.

Prime Minister Modi is also likely to intervene during discussions on the matter in Parliament, which has been a long-standing demand of the opposition.

An all-party meeting is also being held today to search for ways to end the logjam in Parliament.

Meanwhile, the Centre has ruled out the possibility of its ministers resigning over their alleged involvement in the above two issues.

The Congress had yesterday said that the logjam in Parliament would continue unless all corruption issues involving the ruling BJP are resolved.
