Brazilian football legend Pele was reportedly hospitalized on Monday due to a urinary infection and it is the second time this month that he has been admitted for medical treatment.
The three-time World Cup winner was admitted to the Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo, but officials there released only a brief statement with no details about the 74-year-old former Brazil player's condition, Stuff.co.nz reported.
Widely regarded as the finest player to play the game, Pele had an operation to remove kidney stones earlier this month.
Pele won three World Cups as a player and has been named Football Player of the Century by FIFA, Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee, and a national treasure by Brazil's government, the report added.
