A 15-member middle level delegation of People's Liberation Army (PLA), China, led by Major General Zhao Jin Song, is on a three-day visit to HQ Eastern Command (EC), Kolkata from February 23-26.
The delegation is on a visit to India with the intent of enhancing bilateral defence cooperation mechanism between the Armed Forces of both the countries.
The team interacted with Lieutenant General Dushyant Singh, Chief of Staff, HQ EC followed by a meeting with the EC delegation.
The visit is in continuation of the enhanced engagements between the two armies.
The delegation had earlier visited Delhi and Agra on February 21 and 22.
It may be recalled that the PLA Western Theatre Commander General Zhao Zongqi visited India in December last year with the aim of enhancing cooperation.
