Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Beijing on Thursday evening after completing the first part of his three-day
tour of China in Xi'an.
The Prime Minister's stay in Beijing would witness the first meeting of the India-China state and provincial leader's forum.
He is scheduled to hold talks with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang and is expected to sign a number of agreements at the conclusion of the
talks.
Prime Minister Modi will also visit Shanghai before arriving in Mongolia on Saturday.

cultural programme at the Pot City Courtyard.
Prime Minister Modi also visited the terracotta warriors and a Xian pagoda connected to Xuanzang, also known as Tripitaka, the monk who
bought the Buddhist sutras to China from India thousands of years ago.
The Prime Minister presented replicas of a stone casket of Buddhist relics and a stone statue of Lord Buddha to President Xi Jinping, with
whom he held summit-level talks in Xi'an.
Prime Minister Modi also appreciated the Chinese leader for warmly receiving him outside Beijing.
