PM Modi condoles loss of lives in Anantapur train accident

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday condoled the loss of lives in a train accident in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district today.

"My thoughts are with the families of all those who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident of the Bangalore City-Nanded express," Prime Minister Modi tweeted on PMO's official twitter handle.

At least five persons were killed, including Karnataka MLA Venkatesh Naik, and another 25 were injured today morning when the Bangalore-Nanded Express train collided with lorry which was crossing the railway track in Anantpur, Andhra Pradesh.

The collision resulted in the derailment of four coaches.
