The chief education officer of Poonch district, Abdul Hameed Fani, conducted a number of meetings with various educational institution heads in order to make successful live telecast address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of Teacher's Day.

Fani told ANI, "Poonch is a remote district situated on the border. But to make this programme successful we are making arrangements of television and radio in all 1,390 schools of the area."

"On the occasion of Teacher's day, 5th September, Prime Minister wants to talk directly to the students and for that we have already received instructions from the government saying that through all the possible mediums for communication, be it TV, radio or YouTube, the Prime Minister wants to meet the students", he added.

Fani also said that arrangements for video conferencing have also been made at a few places. They had got a message earlier that the Prime Minster might have a direct video conferencing with the students of Poonch.

So, on the directions of M H Malik, Deputy Commissioner of the area, a room for video conferencing has been prepared.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address all the school students nationwide on the eve of Tecaher's Day. Accordingly, all the schools have been instructed to make proper arrangements of LCD and televisions for the live speech by PM Modi.

The speech is scheduled to take place on Friday from three in the afternoon to five in the evening.
