The Border Security Force (BSF) today seized a huge cache of gold bars at the Indo-Bangladesh border.

A BSF official, MK Jha, confirmed the report, saying that their intelligence officials got the information that gold biscuits could be smuggled from Bangladesh to India between Kalyani and Haridaspur, after which they deployed an additional force in the area.

"We were eyeing the target, who was riding a motorcycle, but the smuggler left his vehicle and escaped. After searching the motorcycle, we found 115 pieces of gold biscuits, weighing more than 13 kg with a market value of around Rs 3.80 crore," said Jha.
