Bharatiya Janata Party's national spokesperson Sambit Patra took a dig at Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday, claiming that Gandhi scion continues to make laughable statements. He also alleged that Gandhi himself is a black money holder.

Addressing media persons here, Patra said: "Today Rahul Gandhi is in Chhattisgarh. He asked the gathering if anyone of them had seen any rich black money holder getting out of a big car and standing in the queue to deposit banned notes during demonetisation. I would like to tell him that 'yes, we saw you getting out of your Rs 4 crore car' and standing in the queue."

Earlier in the day while addressing a gathering in the poll bound Chhattisgarh's Kanker, Rahul Gandhi had said, "All of you were standing in long queues during demonetisation (in 2016), but not one black money holder was seen (in the queue). Also, Nirav Modi, Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi and Mehul Choksi ran away from the country with your money."

BJP leader further attacked the Congress party of being corrupt. He said, "It has been two years since demonetisation took place and yet the Congress is restless. The Gandhi family has been accumulating black money for four generations and suddenly one day all of it became useless. It is natural that they will be in pain and that pain is very well evident."

He further hit out at Gandhi for protesting against the shutdown of illegal shell companies. Patra claimed that Indian economy got formalised only after demonetisation and that in itself is a reason to celebrate. He also said that the Congress leaders had tweeted calling urban Naxals 'NGOs' and even called them revolutionaries. He said that there had been a substantial decline in Naxal attacks post-demonetisation.

Earlier in the day Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering in Chhattisgarh's Jagdalpur, where he said: "Children, who should hold pens in their hands, are now holding guns in a monstrous manner. Urban Maoists live a luxurious life while they ruin the lives of children belonging to tribal community, and the Congress supports these people (urban Maoists)."

Patra also alleged that Rahul Gandhi has not changed his script since the year 2014 and repeats the same dialogues everywhere. "I can tell you what he will say in the press conference tomorrow. He just knows how to repeat his good old three lines," Patra added

He also hit out at father-son duo, Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah for their comments on the Centre's approach towards solving the problem of Jammu and Kashmir. "The two of them do not have any right to ask question so far as Kashmir is concerned. They have no work to do. Every morning they just wake up and say autonomy, autonomy. Each worker of our party stands by the people of Kashmir," he said.
