Rajiv Mehrishi designated as Finance Secretary

Economic Affairs Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi, a 1978 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre, was on Tuesday designated as Finance Secretary.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved that Rajiv Mehrishi, IAS (RJ: 78), Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance may be designated as Finance Secretary, said an official release from the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

Earlier in October, Mehrishi was appointed as Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, in place of Arvind Mayaram.
