'Recovering' Harris fighting uphill battle to make Test comeback against Pakistan

Australian Test cricket star Ryan Harris has said that his recovery from knee surgery remains on track as he is fighting an uphill battle to be fit for Tests against Pakistan in October.

The Ashes hero said that he is desperately targeting his playing comeback against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates later this year.

However, Harris has said that there might be reasonable chance that he would not be able to get up for the Test series against Pakistan, News.com.au reported.

Harris said that playing against Pakistan is a goal, but he may struggle.

The paceman said that with the Australian team and the culture they have got, he does not want to miss any games of Test cricket, but there might be some games, which he might not be able to play because of his knee.

Harris said that he might have to start his playing career with domestic side Queensland next summer and then work his way up from there before Australia plays a home four-Test series against India.

Harris said that his goal is to get to the Ashes next year, but he would probably reassess if and when he reaches there, the report added.
