The Station House Officer (SHO) of Jamia Nagar Police Station has written to the Registrar of Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) to remove protesters from gate number seven of the University.
Upender Singh, SHO (Station house officer) of Jamia Nagar Police Station has written to the varsity administration.
The protests are going in and around the university premises since the passage of the citizenship law in December last year.
An incident of firing had taken place near gate number five of the University on Sunday night.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
