Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan on Wednesday condemned the attack on the party office in Kaushambi, and said that the rise of AAP has sent panic waves across the BJP and the Sangh Parivar.
"It shows that the BJP and the RSS are frustrated by the emergence of the AAP. This shows that these are communal and violent people. They have opened up organizations which are meant for violence and hatred only," Bhushan said.
"They have come down to vandalism and violence now. This shows their frustration," he added.
A group of 30 to 40 people attacked the Aam Aadmi Party's office in Kaushambi this morning, protesting against party leader Bhushan's comments on Kashmir.
AAP leader Dilip Pandey, who was inside the office during the attack, said that the attackers were throwing stones and carrying lathis.
"Some people with the banner 'Hindu Raksha Dal' attacked our office at around 11 a.m. Its unfortunate," he said.
"We managed to take away the volunteers. No one was injured. Only office property has been damaged," he added.
"They had lathis and threw bricks at us. Fortunately our door was closed, otherwise many would have been injured," said an AAP volunteer.
