Days after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Prashant Bhushan advocated referendum over the contentious AFSPA in Kashmir, a right-wing organisation going by the name of the Hindu Raksha Dal attacked the party's Kaushambi office on Wednesday.

According to reports, AAP workers managed to save themselves by locking themselves inside a room in the office.

AAP leader Dilip Pandey, who was inside the office during the attack, said that the attackers were throwing stones and carrying lathis.

"Some people with the banner 'Hindu Raksha Dal' attacked our office at around 11 a.m. Its unfortunate," he said.

"We managed to take away the volunteers. No one was injured. Only office property has been damaged," he added.

"They had lathis and threw bricks at us. Fortunately our door was closed, otherwise many would have been injured," said an AAP volunteer.

Further details are awaited.
