Britain's John Murray Books is releasing a volume of letters written by Roald Dahl to mark his 100th birthday next year.
The letters include some letters that describe his horrors of boarding school to his mother, communications with his fans and correspondences with readers.
Donald Sturrock, Dahl's official biographer who compiled the letters for the book, told the Guardian that the letters show the 'amusing' and 'inventive' spirit of the author, the New York Daily News reported.
The collection also includes letters that the quirky author wrote during his time working for Shell in east Africa, and also describes his life working in America in the 1940s.
