TV actress Rose McGowan has turned herself to authorities in Virginia after an arrest warrant for felony possession of a controlled substance was issued earlier this year.
After the warrant has been issued for her arrest, McGowan turned herself to authorities on Tuesday and was booked for possessing a controlled substance; however the actress was later released on a $5,000 bond, reports The Mirror.
She had her mugshot taken before being released on bail.
According to Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Police, they obtained the warrant for McGowan on February 1 after an investigation of personal belongings left behind on a United flight arriving at Dulles International Airport on January 20 tested positive for narcotics.
Rose has become a leading feminist voice on Twitter after becoming one of the first actors to come out and accuse Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein of sexual assault last month.
She also claimed that Weinstein had offered USD 1 million to get her signature on a non-disclosure agreement just weeks before the report broke.
