The lawyer of the bus conductor, who was given a clean chit by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) early this week in Pradyuman murder case, accused the Gurugram police of laying a trap for the innocent.
Mohit Verma, lawyer of bus conductor Ashok, told ANI, "Police had planned everything, an innocent was trapped. Police had done injustice to Ashok."
"As soon as the closure report comes, we will file the bail plea for Ashok and once he is discharged, we will file a defamation case against the police and the school management," added Mehta.
On Thursday, the Gurugram police defended their investigation by saying that they handed over the case to the CBI at the initial stage and it was not concluded at that time.
On November 6, the murder mystery of seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur took a new turn with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) giving a clean chit to Ashok and arresting a Class 11 student of Ryan International School.
The agency claimed before a Gurugram court that the student had confessed of committing the crime.
The victim's family demanded that the juvenile student be tried as an adult and be given a harsh punishment.
Pradyuman was found inside the toilet of the school with his throat slit on September 8.
