Arsenal effectively sealed their Champions League place for an 18th successive season after thrashing Hull City 3-1 in the Premier League tie on Monday night, thanks to Alexis Sanchez's double strikes.
Sanchez put Arsenal ahead in the 28th minute with a deflected free-kick before Aaron Ramsey doubled the advantage four minutes later with another deflected strike, Sport24 reported.
The Chilean striker netted his second just before the half-time as he beat keeper Steve Harper to score his 24th goal of the season. Hull showed an improvement in their performance as Stephen Quinn scored a consolation goal with a header in the 56th minute.
With the win, Arsenal are third in the league table with 70 points, and trail second-placed Manchester City on goal difference. Hull, meanwhile, sit one point and place above the relegation zone.
