Mumbai Assassins held Bahubali Boxers to a 9-9 draw in their last league match in Group B of the Super Boxing League (SBL) at the Siri Fort Squash & Badminton Stadium last evening.
It was Asif Asad Khan (Feather Weight category) and Pawan Goyat who had given the Mumbai Assassins' a 6-0 lead after two bouts.
Khan defeated Sunil Sharma in the Feather Weight category while Goyat defeated Joseph Emmanuel in the Welter Weight category in their respective matches.
But Bahubali Boxers' Preeti Shah (Super Fly Weight) and Sandeep Dhull (Middle Weight category) won their respective bouts to equalise.
The match became interesting as Mumbai's Satish Dhull won the fifth bout in the Super Middle Weight category against Dushytant Shrivastav before the night ended with Bahubali Boxers' captain Kuldeep Singh equalling the score at 9-9 as he won the last bout against his Mumbai counterpart Ram Singh in the Heavy Weight category.
