Nine-time tennis grand slam champion and ardent Real Madrid fan Rafael Nadal has described current FIFA president Sepp Blatter as unhealthy for the future of the sport, and demanded that a new president.

Sport24 quoted Nadal, as saying that it was good to have the right people in every place, and people who know what they are doing, be it football, or tennis, or any other field of activity.

Blatter is contesting to be FIFA president for a fifth consecutive term today at the FIFA Congress in Zurich. He has occupied the post of president since 1998.

He has been criticised by the football fraternity for plunging FIFA into one of its most serious scandals in its history, following the arrest of seven key officials on corruption charges.
