In a major setback for N. Srinivasan, the Supreme Court on Wednesday accepted the BCCI's plea challenging the Bombay High Court order on the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing report.

The apex court issued notice to the Cricket Association of Bihar.

The next hearing in this case will take place on August 29.

The Bombay High Court had on June 30 deemed BCCI's internal probe panel into spot-fixing allegations as 'illegal and unconstitutional.'

The BCCI moved the apex court on Monday challenging a Bombay High Court order holding as illegal and unconstitutional its two-member panel probing allegations of betting in IPL-6.

On June 28, a two-member probe panel comprising retired High Court Judges said no evidence of spot-fixing was found against Rajasthan Royals' co-owner Raj Kundra and N. Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan, the Chennai Super Kings team principal.

Srinivasan, who had stepped aside as the BCCI head, came under cloud because of Meiyappan's alleged involvement.
