A button comparing Hillary Clinton to a hen with '2 fat thighs, 2 small breasts... left wing' popped up at a GOP fest in California.
The churlish tchotchke targeting Clinton was hatched up by an unknown vendor at the state's Republican Convention in Anaheim - where outreach to female voters was on the agenda.
San Francisco Chronicle reporter Carla Marinucci tweeted a photo of the distasteful giveaway - and sparked a firestorm online.
According to the New York Daily News, Marinucci said that the event planners sought her out to learn where the offending buttons were being distributed.
She said that response from the crowd of Republican men and women at the gathering was 'overwhelmingly negative,' the report added.
