Mumbai police on Friday rejected the four-page written statement by Peter Mukherjea after he failed to report to the police in the afternoon.
Police asked Mukherjea to come later when he will be called for his statement to be recorded.
A joint interrogation of all the three key accused in the Sheena Bora murder case (Sanjeev Khanna, Indrani Mukerjea and her driver) was conducted by the police on Friday at Khar police station.
Mikhail Bora was also present at the joint interrogation along with the key accused.
Khanna is the second husband of Indrani Mukherjea, the prime accused in the Sheena Bora murder case.
Mumbai Police is seeking Khanna's custody for the maximum available period and plans to take him to the spot where the murder took place in April 2012.
