Indian shuttlers H.S. Prannoy and B. Sai Praneeth progressed through to the quarterfinals of the Macau Open Grand Prix after winning their respective men's singles contest on Thursday.
Seventh seed Prannoy produced a resilient performance as he claimed a 12-21, 21-11, 21-19 win over Chinese opponent Qiao Bin in a contest that lasted about one hour and 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, 15th-seed Praneeth thrashed Indonesia's Andre Kurniawan Tedjono 21-15, 21-6 in another match of the day.
In women's singles, fifth seed PV Sindhu defeated Indonesia's Lindaweni Fanetri 21-17, 21-18 to advance to the quarterfinals.
