Indian eves lose 1-4 to Argentina's hockey team

The Indian women's hockey team suffered a 1-4 defeat against Argentina in their third match of the tour of the South American nation.

The match witnessed the Argentinean team attacking the India team and within the first eighth-minute of the game Martina Cavallero hit the first goal. The Argentina players continued to dominate the match, Pilar Romang took the second goal in the second quarter of the game. In the next 20 minutes, Noel Barrionuevo hit the third goal. The third quarter of the game saw first goal of team India taken by Vandana Katarya. However the India- Argentina match ended at 1-4 with Noel Barrionuevo striking another goal in the last quarter.

Neil Hawgood, Chief Coach, Indian Women's Hockey Team said, "Argentina was playing an extremely attacking game. The girls were well prepared for the match and made all possible efforts but again we believe there are certain areas which need attention. We are still two matches away from closing this tour and we are confident of putting forward a great show."

India will play Argentina (Under 21 team) in the fourth match of the tournament on 27th November.
