Indonesian Naval ship KRI Bung Tomo (Multi-Role Light frigate) today arrived at the Kochi Harbour to carry out interactions with the Southern Naval Command and facilitate activities that includes the exchange of visits by specialist officers and men from both the navies.
Personnel from the Indian Navy will visit the ships of the Indonesian Navy, while personnel from Indonesian Navy will visit training facilities at the Southern Naval Command.
Chief of Staff, Southern Naval Command Vice Admiral Surinder Pal Singh Cheema met the commanding officer of the visiting ship Captain Yayan Sofyan and Col Arif Harnanto from Indonesia and had discussions with them.
KRI Bung Tomo will depart from Kochi harbour on September 4, and travel towards its final destination Jakarta.
