Sri Lanka have named left-hand batsman Upul Tharanga as a replacement for Kumar Sangakkara for the third and the final Test against India.

According to Sports24, skipper Angelo Mathews said the management is also discussing other changes required for the squad, including allowing Kusal Perera to make his Test debut in place of Jehan Mubarak.

Sangakkara quit the international cricket after playing the first two games of the series.

The series decider will start from August 28 in Colombo.
