South Africa's AB de Villiers scored an impressive half-century on Wednesday to help his side clinch a 62-run win over New Zealand in the third and final ODI at Kingsmead in Durban.
Opting to bat first, South Africa set a 283-run target for the tourists, thanks to skipper De Villiers' 64 off 48 balls.
Openers Morne Van Wyk (58) and Hashim Amla (44) provided substantial support to accelerate the South African innings.
In reply, New Zealand were bowled out for 221 in 49.2 overs.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Latham and middle-order batsman Kane Williamson scored 54 and 39 respectively.
De Villiers was declared the 'man of the match'.
With this win, South Africa clinched the three-match ODI series 2-1. Hashim Amla was adjudged the 'man of the series' for his consistent performance.
