Former Board of Control for Cricket in India chief N Srinivasan on Friday apologised to the Supreme Court for attending the body's working committee meeting despite orders to the contrary.

According to reports, Srinivasan has also assured the apex court that he will not chair the upcoming annual general meeting of the BCCI.

Meanwhile, Cricket Association of Bihar secretary and main petitioner in the Indian Premier League spot-fixing case, Aditya Verma said that N Srinivasan has been barred from participating in any affairs of the BCCI.

"N Srinivasan cannot participate in any affairs of the BCCI. He has only been granted permission to cast his vote [at the AGM]," Verma told the media.

In January, the Supreme Court had barred Srinivasan from contesting the BCCI elections due to the conflict-of-interest with regard to the IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings. The apex court, however, cleared the former BCCI chief for his alleged cover-ups in the spot-fixing case.
