Zayn Malik returned back to UK after the "cheat scandal" news hit, right after his girlfriend Perrie Edwards was spotted fleeing the couple's London home.

According to a One Direction spokesperson, the 22-year-old singer could not complete the Asian leg of the band's jaunt as he had been "signed off with stress," the Daily Star reported.

Edwards was spotted wearing a series of rings, including one on her ring finger, which left fans guessing whether it was the engagement ring given by Malik back in 2013.

The 'Steal My Girl' star was accused of cheating on his girlfriend when his pictures of being hand in hand with Brit holidaymaker, Lauren Richardson in Thailand, surfaced on Instagram.

However, Malik had blasted on Twitter writing that people spreading the rumours were "jealous f***s," and that he was very much in love with the 'Little Mix' singer.
