Stuart Law warns 'rebuilding' Australia to be wary of 'buoyant' Bangladesh

Former Australia batsman Stuart Law believes that newly appointed captain Steve Smith and his young guns will have to overcome a spirited Bangladesh side to clinch the upcoming two-match Test series.

Law, who served as the head coach of the Bangladesh national team during 2011-12, insisted that the Mushfiqur Rahim-led side could pack a punch to a rebuilding Australian side if they continue their recent limited-overs success, Sport24 reported.

Bangladesh have been on a high after claiming series victories over Pakistan, India and South Africa in ODI cricket since the start of the year.

Meanwhile, the series will be Smith's first as permanent Test captain after succeeding Michael Clarke, who retired in the wake of Ashes defeat against England.

Australia will also be without the services of wicketkeeper Brad Haddin, opening batsman Chris Rogers and allrounder Shane Watson.

Law, who played 54 one-day internationals for Australia, observed that the amount of experience that has left the team recently was a huge hole to fill.

Bangladesh will be aiming to better their miserable Tests record against Australia when they will take on the tourists on October 9 in Chittagong in the first Test. The second Test begins on October 17 in Dhaka.
