Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton has revealed that it will be a 'very emotional' moment if he manages to match his Formula One idol Ayrton Senna's record of 41 race wins at this weekend's Singapore Grand Prix.

A victory would see the Mercedes driver not only match Senna's feat in exactly the same number of races, but also strengthen his bid of equaling the late Brazilian's career haul of three world titles.

Hamilton said that he always wanted to emulate Senna, adding that he was just one race away from equalling his childhood hero's feat, the Guardian reported.

However, the Briton admitted that he was not under any particular pressure this weekend and insisted that it would be a milestone in his career if he succeeds in matching Senna's record.

Hamilton currently leads the drivers' championship table by 53 points over nearest challenger Nico Rosberg after winning the Italian Grand Prix.
