At least 13 people were killed and dozens injured in a deadly suicide bombing at a Shia mosque in Char Qala in Kabul city on Monday.

29 injured were taken to the hospital and officials said that the injured were still arriving, reports Tolo News.

Officials added that children were also amongst the victims.

Early reports suggested that explosives were detonated by a suicide bomber during a Shia ceremony at the Baqir-ul-Olum mosque.

The attack was confirmed by the Ulema Council.

Taliban claimed that it was not responsible for the attack.
