Zafar Khan, who was arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of the Kolkata Police yesterday over suspicion of being an ISI agent, was today sent to police custody till November 29.
Apparently, Zafar Khan is the brother of Akhtar Khan who was last week arrested by the police on similar charges.
Akhtar was produced before the magistrate on Sunday. His lawyer, Fazal Ahmed Khan, had claimed that his client was an Indian citizen and that he has been living in India for many years.
According to reports, Akhtar was in Pakistan for over 20 years and returned to India in 2008.
Akhtar Khan alias Raju was intercepted and arrested at Colootola in Central Kolkata on Saturday with fake currency and several passports of different nations.
