Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal became Bangladesh's highest Test run-scorer on day four of the lone Test against India in Fatullah on Saturday.

Iqbal became the second Bangladeshi to cross 3000-run landmark after surpassing former captain Habibul Bashar's 3026, the BBC has reported.

The 26-year-old, who scored his maiden double-century last month, made 19 before being stumped by Wriddhiman Saha off a Ravichandran Ashwin's delivery.

In reply to India's 462-6, Bangladesh made 111-3 when rain crept in just minutes before lunch and since then had been pouring heavily.
