Switzerland registered their first World Cup victory with a 10-1 win over Ecuador in their Group C clash at the women's World Cup in Vancouver.

Fabienne Humm stole the limelight as she scored the fastest hat-trick ever recorded at the competition within the gap of six minutes, the Guardian has reported.

Meanwhile, Ecuador could only net one goal after losing their two group games.

With the win, Switzerland are tied with Cameroon on three points behind group leaders Japan.
