Indian Olympic Association (IOA) General Secretary Rajeev Mehta, who was arrested in Glasgow on charges of alleged drunken driving, today said that there were no charges against him.
He was on his way back home after returning from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Mehta told reporters, "There are no charges. I was free that time, I am free right now. Everything and every investigation has been done. Maybe I will file case against Scotland Police. I will talk to my lawyer."
On August 3, Scotland Police had arrested Mehta for driving in a drunken state while wrestling referee Virender Malik was booked for sexual assault but the charges were later dropped against them.
Former Indian athlete Milkha Singh had condemned the incident saying that the entire nation was upset over what the officials had done in Glasgow.
He had said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government should take strict action against them and ban them from going abroad.
