Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said that this is the time to focus on food processing, so that there will be food security and stability for the farmers.
"I am confident more and more industries will come to Andhra Pradesh. I am happy that we have aimed at attracting 10 billion dollars in food processing sector in three years. This convention will create excellent eco-system. It is a time when we have to focus on food processing, then there will be food security and stability for the farmer. We are very strong in agriculture and we are even changing our process in agriculture," Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu told ANI, while attending the inaugural session of international conference 'World Food India (WFI) 2017' in Vigyan Bhavan.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister also met with Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu in the national capital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the three-day international event 'World Food India-2017', being organised by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India in association with Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) from November 3-5.
The event will be the largest gathering of investors, manufacturers, producers, food processors, policy makers, and organisations from the global food ecosystem.
Andhra Pradesh, being one of the partner states for the event, held a special session today to showcase the potential and advantages of Food Processing sector in the state to the global community.
