Trump's presidential address sets Dow soaring high

U.S President Donald Trump's presidential speech was instrumental in achieving a milestone, as the Dow Jones industrial average recorded an all time high of 21,000 on Wednesday morning.

Earlier, over a month ago, equity rates went up to 20,000. This time, rates have surpassed the 21,000 mark.

President Trump's speech was appreciated on account of being more optimistic and presidential that the previous speeches, although he did not touch upon important segments such as tax reforms and deregulation.

"The speech didn't break any new ground, but it was much more orderly and methodical than we are used to hearing. It was a solid speech from the perspective of putting Trump on a truly presidential footing ," said Nicholas Colas, chief market strategist at brokerage firm ConvergEx, as reported by CNN.

Cowen & Co. analyst, Chris Krueger, categorised the speech as 'Bigly delivery, more optimism, less detail.
