Turkey on Tuesday condemned the Sukma Naxal attack where 25 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed.
"It has been learned with great sorrow that 25 security officers were killed and six were wounded in a terrorist attack in the Chhattisgarh State of India," the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We condemn this heinous terrorist attack. We convey our condolences to the friendly people and government of India and wish a speedy recovery to those wounded," it added.
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be visiting New Delhi on Sunday for a two-day visit.
26 CRPF personnel were killed and eight others injured during an encounter that took place at around 12.45 p.m. between the Burkapal-Chintagufa area in the middle of Maoist violence-hit south Bastar area.
